ROMP & RHYME STORY TIME

This special program for our active younger patrons who are toddlers and walkers. It includes finger plays, songs, movement and stories with social time for parents and play time for children afterwards. LAUGHING WITH LOIS: PRESCHOOL STORYTIME

Wednesdays, September 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31

Starting September 26th, Wednesday - 5th grade only. 5th grade and up starting on Oct. 3rd. Join us on Wednesdays for after school "lounge", where tweens and teens can be themselves. A safe and fun space for homework, socializing and/or participating in various group activities. Drop in for ten minutes for stay for an hour.
GOLD RUSH SCIENCE PROGRAM
Saturday, September 15
10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Eureka! Travel back in time and become a prospector as we search for real gems and minerals! This hands-on science focused program is geared for children between Kindergarten and 5th Grade. After discovering their stones, program participants will switch hats from prospectors to geologists and identity their finds with the help of a scientist. This FUN science workshop also includes take home materials to keep the lessons fresh.
DYER LIBRARY BOOK CLUB

The Book Club will now meet on the second Tuesday of each month in the Deering Room. The book for this discussion session will be "The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie" by Alan Bradley.
WATERCOLOR CLASSES WITH JUDITH KINSMAN

Whether you are a beginner or an advanced watercolorist, bring your paints to the Deering Room of the Dyer Library on Wednesday mornings. Learn new techniques or practice old ones with famed Saco Watercolorist Judith Kinsman. These classes are available in four-week sessions, $70 per session with a Dyer Library card or $75 without. BURIED IN TIME
June 23 - October 21, 2018
Laurel Hill contains the graves of most of the people who played an important part in the history of the community, but it is also the final resting place of numerous less well-known individuals who led interesting, and historically revealing, lives. Buried in Time features portraits, photographs, documents, and other personal objects associated with a variety Saco residents, from all walks of life, who are buried in the cemetery.

What's your sign? The first Astrology Group meeting will take place at The Dyer Library this month. Learn the meaning of planets, signs and houses and how they work in a horoscope. All those who are interested in astrology are welcome to attend! The Astrology Group plans to meet on the second Wednesday of each month in the Board Room (back of Deering Room).
