Come one, come all to the sixth annual colossal yard sale at the Dyer Library/Saco Museum. All proceeds of the yard sale benefit the programs offered at the Dyer Library/Saco Museum year round.

Shake, Shimmy, and Dance
Fridays 10 a.m. June 29th-August 17th
ages 3 and under
Babies and Toddlers, along with their favorite adults, siblings, cousins or friends, are invited to join us for a dance party every week this summer until August 17th. Come for a story or two and at least half an hour of dancing and songs.

Jennifer joins our Shake, Shimmy, and Dance presenting her program Music Makers, a celebration of the all of the instruments she plays including Scottish bagpipe, fiddle, banjo, guitar, lap dulcimer, bowed psaltry and penny whistle.
Monday July 9th at 10 a.m.
ages 5 and up.
Combine ideas with other children to create an elaborate creation! Every young engineer will start by building their own lego creation, when the music stops everyone must pass their structure to the next engineer. Each time the music starts up again the lego creations will grow and grow.
Geology is a Piece of Cake with Katie Coppens

Learn about minerals, rocks ad fossils using delicious, delicious cake! Maine author and educator Katie Coppens shares information from her book Geology is a Piece of Cake, using samples of both rocks and cake. Come to learn, leave with cake, and maybe purchase a copy of her book.
Mad Science of Maine presents: Sounds Like Science Tuesday
August 7th 2-3 p.m. children in grades K-6th
Pitch, Frequency, Vibrations, Oh my! Rock out with our "Sounds Like Science" show and get your community into the reading groove! Meet our Mad Science Maestro in this ear pleasing show about the science of sounds. We will pump up the volume with a special science rap and open ears and eyes as we use light to send music across the room. Explore sound as it travels through solids, liquids, and gases and listen to the beautiful tones of Mad Science resonance tubes. We will even take a trip through the jungle as we recreate the roaring sounds of several animals. Find out how hot sound can be as it rises out of our Singing Pipe and flaming didgeridoo's. Discover how hilarious sound waves can be when they are manipulated using our sound machine! After some thunderous applause, the Mad Science Conductor will need your help to recreate an indoor thunder storm. This Mad Science show is sure to inspire more imaginative learning in all of your audience members and help them feel the summer reading vibrations!
Chewonki Animals Rock!
Tuesday August 14th 3 p.m-4.p.m. All Ages Animal Experts from Chewonki, a school, camp, and environmental education organization will present a Traveling Natural History program. They will present intriguing aspects of the natural world and bring LIVE animal guests. The topic is TBD

Whether you are a beginner or an advanced watercolorist, bring your paints to the Deering Room of the Dyer Library on Wednesday mornings. Learn new techniques or practice old ones with famed Saco Watercolorist Judith Kinsman. These classes are available in four-week sessions, $70 per session with a Dyer Library card or $75 without. The Pokemon League meets the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Thursday evening of each month from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Deering Room.
A Pokemon League provides a nearby place for you to get together with other fans of the Pokemon Trading Card Game and have some fun. Using your own cards you can play, trade, and even earn cool prizes! The best part is that you can do all this with other Pokemon players who love collecting and playing just as much as you do.
