INTERNSHIPS
The Roy P. Fairfield Archives Internship is an annual part-time, paid
summertime position in the Maine History Room at the Dyer Library.

The Saco Museum offers unpaid internships to college and graduate
students during the summer and the fall and winter semesters. Intern
duties vary from year to year, but may include
assisting
with exhibitions or publications, inventorying and cataloguing museum
collections, or assisting with education and outreach efforts. For

VOLUNTEERING
The Saco Museum is recruiting volunteers to serve as Docents,
Information Desk Volunteers, and Collections Assistants.
Docents give tours to visitors teaching them about the
Museum's exhibitions, collections, and history; training is required.
Information Desk Volunteers assist visitors with questions about
the Museum and exhibitions. No prior museum training is required.
File Clerks help keep track of the museum's paperwork by filing
and organizing documents and folders. No prior museum training is
required.
Data Entry Specialists input information about the museum's
collection and exhibition into special databases. No prior museum
training is required.
