Borrowing Items
Loan Period
All items borrowed from Dyer Library circulate for three weeks.
Interlibrary Loan
Interested in a book, audiobook, or DVD that is not currently in our collection? Please contact Chris Rounds (crounds@dyerlibrarysacomuseum.org) at our Reference Desk. If the item is available, he will coordinate an interlibrary loan to borrow the item from another library.
Reserve or Renew Online
Every library card holder can access their online account. To do so, please click here and click “log in” in the upper right-hand corner. Your user name is your 5-digit library card number (if you do not know your card number, please contact the circulation desk in person or by phone at 207-283-3861) and your password is your last name (not case-sensitive, no punctuation). If you have any trouble logging into your account, please contact the circulation desk. Once logged in, you can reserve an item that is currently checked out by searching for the item, clicking on the title, and then clicking the “Hold It” button on the right.
Late Fees
As of May 1, 2024, Dyer Library no longer charges late fees for items that are returned after their due date.
Lost or Damaged
We understand that sometimes items get lost or damaged. We ask that you pay for the replacement cost of the item, as determined by our staff.
