Borrowing Items
Loan Period
Most items borrowed from Dyer Library circulate for three weeks. Some kits or specialty items may have a shorter loan period.
Reserve or Renew Online
Every library card holder can access their online account. To do so, please click here and click “My Library Account” in the upper right-hand
corner. Enter your name and your new library card barcode (yes, all 14 digits!). If you have any trouble logging into your account, please contact the circulation desk. Now you can search for items and check the status of items you have either checked out or reserved on hold. To request an item, simply search for the title or author. Don’t see it at Dyer? Select “All Minerva Locations” from the search drop-down menu to see if another consortium library has that item.
To request, click on the title of the item (please note that your search may return books as well as DVDs, large print books, and ebook versions).
Then click “request” next to the red checkmark in the upper middle left of the page.
Once you see the message that the request was successful, you are all set!
Late Fees
As of May 1, 2024, Dyer Library no longer charges late fees for items that are returned after their due date.
Lost or Damaged
We understand that sometimes items get lost or damaged. We ask that you pay for the replacement cost of the item, as determined by our staff.
