Saco Museum is pleased to announce our participation in two initiatives intended to make visiting museums more accessible to all!
We are proud to participate in Museums for All, a signature access program of the Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered by the Association of Children’s Museums. The program encourages people of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum-going habits. Under this program, those receiving food assistance (SNAP) benefits can visit Saco Museum free of charge, with the presentation of a SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card. Similar free and reduced admission is available to eligible members of the public at more than 1,350 museums across the country. This program runs all year long.
We are also a participating Blue Star Museum, a program that provides free admission to currently serving U.S. military personnel and their families during the summer. The 2026 program began on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 16, 2026, and will end on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026. Learn more and find the list of participating museums at arts.gov/BlueStarMuseums.
