Refresh your wardrobe while helping the planet! Join us for our Community Clothing Swap on Saturday, March 21st from 9:30am – 12:30pm – it’s an easy, affordable way to try new styles, give clothing a second life, and reduce waste. Donate clean, gently used clothing and swap it for something new-to-you.

Every year, people in the United States throw out more than 34 billion pounds of used textiles. Divided across the population, that’s more than 100 pounds of textile waste per person each year. Of those, 66% end up in landfills. Help the environment, clean out your closet, and build community with a day of free swapping.

This event is part of the library’s Sustainable Library Initiative, which promotes environmental responsibility through sharing, reuse, and community connection. By swapping instead of shopping, we can keep textiles out of landfills and support a more sustainable future together.

Donation Drop-Off

Monday, March 16 – Thursday, March 19

We welcome donations of washed, like-new clothing, shoes, and accessories for kids through adults. Please bring bagged donations to the Children’s Room.

All items must be clean and in good condition. We encourage donors to follow the “friend rule”: if you wouldn’t give it to a friend, please don’t donate it.

Any leftover items will be distributed to local organizations after the swap ends.
